Who we are
EarnThread is a software platform for creators, influencers and independent experts. For personal data used to provide and secure the EarnThread platform, EarnThread is the data controller. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to privacy@earnthread.com.
Information we collect
Account and storefront information
Your name, email address, authentication details, profile, workspace settings, storefront content, products, prices, files and preferences.
Commerce and audience information
Order and transaction references, buyer contact details, lead forms, marketing consent choices, booking and fulfilment information, refunds and subscription status. Card details are entered into Stripe and are not stored by EarnThread.
Connected account information
If you connect a supported service, we receive the account identifiers, profile information, permissions and data you approve. We also store encrypted access and refresh tokens, their expiry time and connection status so the integration can work.
Usage, device and support information
This includes IP address, browser and device details, security and session events, pages and links used, referral or campaign data, diagnostic logs, and messages you send to support.
How we use information
We use personal data to:
- provide accounts, storefronts, checkouts, lead capture, bookings, analytics and connected services;
- authenticate users, prevent fraud, protect the platform and investigate incidents;
- process subscriptions, platform fees, creator payments, refunds and financial records;
- send service messages, purchase confirmations and support responses;
- measure performance, attribute traffic and improve EarnThread; and
- meet tax, accounting, regulatory and other legal obligations.
Our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure service, and consent where the law requires it. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Creators and their customers
A creator decides what they sell, what information they request from visitors and how they communicate with their customers. For those activities, the creator may be the data controller and EarnThread processes information on the creator’s behalf. Contact the relevant creator about their offers, mailing list or use of your information. EarnThread remains responsible for data it uses for platform accounts, security, billing and legal compliance.
Retention and international transfers
We retain account and workspace data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward where needed for recovery, disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations. Connection tokens are kept only while the integration remains connected or until they expire or are revoked. Financial and transaction records are retained for applicable tax and accounting periods. Security logs and backups are deleted or overwritten on a rolling basis.
Some providers may process data outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on recognised adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Ireland, this is the Data Protection Commission.
To exercise a right, email privacy@earnthread.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. If your request concerns a creator’s mailing list or customer relationship, please contact that creator first.
Children and policy changes
EarnThread is not intended for children under 18. We may update this policy as the platform or law changes. We will publish the revised policy here, update its effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material.

Social media integrations
When an integration is available and you choose to connect it, we send you to the provider’s authorisation screen. EarnThread never asks for or receives your social media password. The screen identifies the permissions requested, and you decide whether to approve them.
We use approved data only to provide the connected features you request, such as showing account details, linking content to traffic or sales, or retrieving authorised performance information. You can disconnect a provider in EarnThread; this revokes the connection and removes stored access and refresh tokens from active use. You can also revoke access in the provider’s own settings. The provider may keep data under its own privacy policy.
